AQUARIUM!

We took Briony to the Vancouver Aquarium today. To say that she had a good day is a complete understatement. She was so thrilled with the tanks full of “fis, fis, fis, fis, fis, fis, fis, fis”. She also saw an “eee, eee, eee”, a “pllllp”, and a few “rawrs”. It’s hard to convey how much Briony talks. She repeated “fis” about a hundred times while we were there. It was amazing to experience the whole thing with her. Seriously, best aquarium visit ever.

We also had a great day with Lindsay and Geoff. It was good to just spend time with them. We enjoyed two rounds of Starbucks together over the course the day and also walked around Horseshoe Bay.

Randomly, we also ran into Ian. He was eating sushi in the restaurant we parked in front of in Horseshoe Bay. So, Lindsay and Geoff got to meet Aaron’s boss which was neat.

All in all, it was an amazing day. And weirdly exhausting. It’s only 9:30pm and I’m totally wiped. Let’s blame the caffeine crash and not the walking.

We had a great day with you too!

I seriously don’t know how anything in life will ever live up to the HAPPINESS of Briony’s first trip to the Aquarium. And it was so special to share it with you guys.

For those not fluent in Briony…

eee eee eee = monkey
pllllp = snake
rawr = any dangerous animal (in this case, alligators)

I am looking at these photos and I am beginning to have my suspicions about this Briony. She’s cute. Maybe even too cute. It seems like she may be using some cuteness-enhancers because there is no way a child can be that cute. I suggest that she gets tested because if she is cheating in the cuteness game, then that’s not fair to the other children.

I never would have guessed that pllllp = snake!!! That’s just too cute!

It turns out that I was all of a sudden tired in the evening because I was fighting off a cold. I woke up in the middle of the night with a stuffy head and a sore throat. It’s strange cause I was totally 100% healthy until about 8:30pm. Lindsay, I hope Briony didn’t catch the same thing I did.

I totally understood Briony-speak, and I’m guessing that has to do with the fact that my family is pretty much swimming in babies.
David Rae, in that top shot Briony is employing the craftiest of all cute baby maneuvers . . . the head tilt. With that sort of look, children can slay people for miles, reducing even the grumpiest codgers to a puddle of mush. It’s totally devious.
